Ruby-Eye.Net started out as a mere idea in 2004. In 2003, I initiailly planned to buy Platinum-Dreams.net. The name lost its charm over time, and summer school was taking quite a bit of my time too. Likewise, that idea went out the window.

In mid-June 2004, my idea of owning a domain was rekindled. This time, I chose more series-related names as possibilities. Ruby-Eye.Net was one of the names, and I eventually came to like it the most. Ruby Eye Shabranigdo (what I derived "Ruby Eye" from) easily became my favorite dark lord in Slayers at the time. In addition, the name did not blatantly show its fandom roots. I expected my interest in the series to decline eventually (which it did), but the name managed to stay appealing and relatively subtle to its origins.

The first site to have been made was Let's Go!, a fanlisting to Slayers Excellent. Considering only information or media-related fansites to be true websites, my first would be my Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne anime screencap archive, Game Start.
